Spouted SUP for shampoo

Shaped, spouted stand-up pouch (SUP) packaging for India-based Hindustan Unilever's Clinic Plus Strong & Long Shampoo has earned an FPA Gold Achievement Award for Sustainability, as well as a Silver Award for Extending the Use of Flexible Packaging. This pouch, a 130-micron lamination of 10-micron PET/120-micron Polyethylene White, reduces packaging carbon footprint by an estimated 70% versus PET and HDPE bottles. Logistic cost cuts are built into the package design. Due to the space efficiency of the packaging, more product can be shipped per load, stored, and shelved versus more conventionally bottled products.
