Dr Yngve Dagel

Many packaging developments took place from the late 1950s to the present time. During the early period between 1960 and 1971, Dr Yngve Dagel was involved in developing a small test laboratory (Papp Emballage Provnung), concerned only with tests on paper board packaging, into the fully fledged Swedish Packaging research organisation (PACKFORSK). These developments occurred during the formation in 1971 of the International Association of Packaging Research Institutes (IAPRI) by seven-member European packaging research institutes. In 1978, Dr Dagel became the President of IAPRI, and during the preceding period, he had been very much concerned with package testing technology and operations.
