Swiss pharmaceutical packaging company, K+D, is celebrating 125 years in business and 75 years with the Kuhn family at its head. Stefan Kuhn, representing the third generation, directs the company, while Werner Kuhn, a second generation family member, is chairman of the board. As the second biggest player in the Swiss pharmaceutical packaging industry, K+D employs 100 people, each of whom average ten years' service and an average age of 38. In common with all the key national and international companies in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging markets, K+D is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified, and in 2004 it was the first packaging printing plant in Europe to obtain GMP certification to ISO 15378 (for the packaging of medical products). The company has a sales turnover of CHF 28 million.
