At Labelexpo, Martin Automatic will demonstrate two complete roll-changing systems for non-stop, waste-reducing, narrow web production. Martin introduces the new STS Automatic Butt Splicer and new STR Automatic Rewind. These compact carousel turrets are designed for a fast payback to make Martin roll-changing technology accessible to converters with presses up to 13 inches (330 mm) wide. The new STR winds rolls without foldback at the core, eliminating a source of wrinkling and material waste. The system also features a lay-on roller and integrated web guide for greater winding control and higher quality rolls.
