Spear will take home this year's Best of Show honors for the innovative printing of its "Bacardi Big Apple" label. This entry was the first place winner in the Labels―Combination Process category. Spear combined rotary screen, flexo, and hot stamping to produce the award-winning rum label with the "no-label" look for Bacardi's new product. "The launch of Bacardi Big Apple went like clock-work," said Dan Muenzer, vice president, marketing for Spear. "Bacardi and Spear have a 10-plus-year relationship that has developed into a complete understanding of each other's processes. New product launches go extremely smooth because all variables are known."
