These precision cylinders—designed specifically to securely hold magnetic dies—assure semi-rotary diecutting operations that the smaller magnetic dies often used to cut digitally printed labels will adhere firmly to the cylinder. Semi-rotary diecut-ters often use magnetic dies that do not wrap fully around the cylinder and may not lie flat, particularly if the die edge falls on a non-magnetic area. Because the magnets are laid out in a spiral, rather than a straight line, die edges are always held firmly in place.
