Martin Automatic to Showcase its Latest Innovations at drupa

Martin Automatic's display at drupa 2016 will include products for web handling and web transport, roll change automation and splicing. To address the web converting and manufacturing industry's desire to reach higher speeds with lower basis weight materials, Martin Automatic has announced new web transport technologies. Airnertia is Martin's patented roller technology, which implements an almost friction-less air bearing system, minimizing roller inertia. Martin has also announced Magnetic Driven Roller technology, which eliminates the effects of roller mass, bearing friction, speed changes and entrained (boundary layer) air on web transport rollers.
