Roastar Digital Pouches has gone where very few have gone before by breaking the barrier and taking a deep dive into digital printing, a relatively new technology in flexible packaging. Mike Mead, Roastar's VP of sales and marketing, explains that while the company started in label printing originally, the move into flexible packaging about five years ago just seemed to make sense. The company had been working with its digital presses to create labels and after realizing the demand for short-run coffee bags while attending coffee trade shows, the idea to print flexible packages digitally was born.
