摘要

During the past two decades, significant progress has been made on the fabrication of transparent laser ceramics, which is now one of the hot topics of the materials and laser researches. Transparent ceramics possess almost the same optical properties compared with their single crystalline counterparts. In addition, they further have the advantages of high mechanical strength, easy size scalability, flexible shape, short fabrication time and low cost.
