State-of-the-art exact and heuristic solution procedures for simple assembly line balancing

摘要

To provide a survey of the single assembly line balancing problem (SALBP). Assembly line balancing problems have to be solved amicably when an assembly line has to be configured and/or redesigned. It is comprised of redistributing the total work load for manufacturing any unit of a product to be assembled among the work stations along the line. The present paper provides an up-to-date and comprehensive survey of the problem related to single lines (SALBP).
