To examine the interactive effect of technological intensiveness (TI) and top management group (TMG) pay disparity on firm performance. Top management groups (TMG) are executives of the high technology firms who function on a high degree of task interdependence, intensive collaboration and coordination. Task interdependence is influenced by environmental uncertainty and technological intensiveness (TI). Technological intensiveness refers to the degree of scientific activity and research based innovation in an industry.
