Optimization tradecraft: Hard-won insights from real-world decision support

摘要

The overall contribution of the practitioners of optimization-based decision support models substantially improves the planning methods that could be beneficial to our security and welfare. The secrets of success of such models are not available through text books and need to learnt as an art of experience. Some such secrets are highlighted for practical applications.
