Cost efficiency measures in data envelopment analysis with data uncertainty

Classical cost efficiency models cannot be used when there is uncertainty in data inputs and outputs and they appear as imprecise ranges. A method is developed to estimate the upper and lower bounds for the cost efficiency measure in such situations and a theory of efficiency measurement is proposed to accommodate incomplete price information by deriving upper and lower bounds for the cost efficiency measure. Practical application of the bounds developed is illustrated with a numerical model.
