RFID and item-level information visibility

摘要

This paper quantifies the benefit of RFID adoption through reduction in uncertainty from a manufacturer's perspective. The properties of this benefit function are described to provide managerial insight on whether, under what conditions, and the extent to which a firm should consider adopting RFID tag technology.
