摘要

Benefiting from external innovation requires the transfer of and for knowledge transfer to be effective the important requirements are the availability of knowledge to transfer and the effectiveness of transfer. The first consideration, the availability of knowledge, depends on the innovativeness of the supplier. This study focuses on the following: do manufacturers benefit from their supplier's innovativeness and how well the knowledge transfer occurs or how efficiently the interorganizational learning takes place. A proper fit between organizational learning styles of the manufacturer and the supplier may play an important role in the knowledge transfer. So the paper studies the impact of the learning styles of the manufacturer and supplier also. The study uses organizational learning theory to explore the research questions.
