We are sad to inform our Readres that Professor Roman Stanislaw Ingar-den, the originator and the first Editor-in-Chief of two international journals, Open Systems and Information Dynamics and the Reports on Mathematical Physics, passed away last July at the age of 91.He was the founder of Toruri school of mathematical physics and served for many years as the head of the Institute of Physics, Nicolaus Copernicus University. He was an author of over a hundred scientific papers, as well as of numerous books and textbooks on physics and mathematics.
