I have become obsessed with Hamilton the Musical. I bought the soundtrack "for my son" for Christmas, but it has been living in my car's CD player for months. Written by Lin-Manual Miranda, the musical portrays Alexander Hamilton, the Founding Father of the United States who established the nation's banking system, as a tragic hip-hop genius who establishes the finances of our young nation and allows it to flourish. His skill is in "the quill": He became George Washington's public relations officer, writing persuasive letters to the nascent Congress and finally, along with James Madison, Washington's Farewell Address in 1796.
