Institutional repositories, with their dedication to open access materials, are now accepted and promoted as integral to organizations' missions and goals. We've come a very long way from what now feels like the Dark Ages, when the biggest stumbling block with OA was getting acceptance and agreement to move forward. In many cases, library directors and institutional administrators questioned whether the organization supported OA.
