PROSPECTS OF A LARGER INTERNATIONAL OLIVE COUNCIL AS NEW COUNTRIES APPLY TO JOIN

After last year's restruring process when the International Olive Council embarked on a phase of adjusting and reorganising the professional resources of the Executive Secretariat and putting in place internal operating systems (to rationalise accounting systems and make them transparent and to optimise procedures and administrative management), this international organisation is now entering a new, forward-looking stage. There will be difficulties on the way, but prospects will also open up once the inevitable hurdles of any transition are left behind.
