DISABLED PEOPLE NEED BETTER ACCESS TO WORK

Government support for employment services for disabled people should focus on the individual and not the institution, according to an independent review. Improving work support for disabled people would enable them to access jobs across the economy and help reduce the huge gap between the employment rate of disabled and non-disabled people, currently around 30 percentage points. It would also boost the economy by £13 billion.
