SEQOHS REVISIONS

The Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) is finalising its revised standards for the SEQOHS (Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service) accreditation scheme, which should come into effect in 2015. SEQOHS is a voluntary accreditation scheme for OH services, which are measured against a set of standards. The scheme was launched in December 2010. Changes being considered include integrating the specific standards applying to NHS OH services into the generic standards. The FOM received 178 responses to its open consultation and conducted a stakeholder meeting in September. The SEQOHS team is also looking at feedback on possible changes to the accreditation process, and guidance on accreditation for sole practitioners is promised.
