At one boise robotics group (borg) meeting last year, Barry Nye, the Technology Guy at HackerrnMiddle School (Mountain Home, ID) and a founder ofrnthe BoRG, told me about a new line of microcontrollersrnthat he had recently discovered. He called themrnPICAXEs and explained they're preprogrammedrnMicrochip PIC microcontrollers. Like the BASIC Stamps,rnPICAXEs are programmed with a BASIC interpreter (that's just my speed!) withrna syntax that is very similar to the syntax of the BASIC Stamp 1.
