Here is the problem: My house has a front door, back door, kitchen door, garage door, and three patio doors. When I go out or retire for the evening, I want to know that all of those doors are locked. Walking around to check seven doors on two different levels is a chore. I need a security system that will tell me quickly and conveniently if all the doors are locked. Of course, you can buy such a setup, but the systems that I looked at don't fit my needs very well. For one thing, most commercial systems indicate if each door is closed, not if it is locked. What good is that?
