An Ohio state lawmaker is pushing the delay of customer charges and an annual audit as a strong near-term fix to a controversial nuclear subsidy law at the center of a federal bribery investigation. Ohio Rep. James Hoops on Dec. 1 introduced House Bill 798, which would “delay for one year the charges and payments for nuclear resource and renewable energy credits” enacted by House Bill 6 while revising certain other provisions of the law and opening an annual audit of the nuclear generation fund.
