摘要

For the investigation of fire protection tasks performed in the scope of individual fire safety concepts, it is sometimes essential to known the temperatures in the near field of a fire incident. Problems of concern are those about the time of sprinkler activation, rising tem- peratures in building components and the achievement of critical temperatures for humans or building materials. In many cases this assessment is made by means of zone models or with estimations of plume theory. In this procedure the local effects are often neg- lected, or in cases where hot upper layers are present the plume centreline temperatures ere underpredicted.
