The IAEA Safety Requirements publication on The Management System for Facilities and Activities (IAEA GS-R-3) defines the requirements for establishing, implementing, assessing and continually improving a management system for facilities and activities that integrates safety, health, environmental, security, quality and economic elements. The IAEA Safety Guides on the Application of the Management System for Facilities and Activities and on The Management System for Nuclear Installations, as well as other IAEA Safety Guides specific to technical areas, provide recommendations on how to fulfil the requirements specified in IAEA GS-R-3.
