Naturally occurring and artificially produced radionuclides in our environment

Naturally occurring and artificially produced radionuclides in the environment contribute to the human radiation exposure via various exposure pathways and exposure routes. An annual meeting of the German-Swiss Association of Radiation Protection focussing on these issues - including human exposure by cosmic radiation (air crews) - was held on the island of Bor-kum in 2010. Some of the contributions were selected and updated with new findings, insights and perceptions. They are presented in this special issue of KERNTECHNIK and thus made available for a broader audience.
