Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP)rnwill suspend construction of Units 5 andrn6 at its Shin-Kori Nuclear Power Plant,rnboard members decided today in anrnemergency meeting.rnThe board made the decision to suspendrnconstruction during a public debaternon the future of the two APR1400 units,rnwhich follows President Moon Jae-in'srnadministrative order to halt constructionrnof the reactors as part of a plan to phasernout nuclear power in the Asian nation.rnThe suspension period will run for threernmonths from the commencement ofrnthe Public Debate Committee. If a publicrndebate is not held within three months,rnKHNP plans to call a board meeting torndecide on further policies.
