US NRC Renews Seabrook Station Operating License

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has renewed the operating license of Seabrook Nuclear Station for an additional 20 years; the plant's license will now expire on March 15, 2050. The single-unit plant (1,246 MWe PWR) in New Hampshire is operated by NextEra Energy, which submitted the renewal application in May 2010.
