摘要

After carrying out exposures, thermal annealing and chemical etching experiments with solid state nuclear track detectors (SSNTDs) followed by analysis of experimental results for years, experimental considerations and precautions adopted and learned are described here briefly. Key procedures and results are also explained. Concept and development of the nuclear track detection technique are described briefly but in a comprehensive manner. Considerations and results presented here are for CR-39, but discussion and conclusions of this study are general and valid in principle for all SSNTDs.
