摘要

A high frame rate neutron imaging system has been developed at the Pennsylvania State University utilizing the Breazeale TPIGA reactor in the Radiation Science and Engineering Center. The imaging setup uses the pulsing capabilities of the TRIGA reactor to obtain neutron images at frame rates up to 4000 frames per second. The system was used to image an aluminum bubbler which forced compressed air through water creating a two-phase flow mixture. This paper describes the equipment used for the setup and its performance with respect to time and space resolution and analyzes various potential biasing effects for quantitative results such as statistical error and low count bias.
