In the CMS experiment, the Fast Beam Conditions Monitor provides an online, bunch-by-bunch measurement of luminosity and machine induced background. The Beam Pickup Transformer provides a precise measurement of beam intensity and arrival time. Upgraded back-end electronics have been developed for the Beam Conditions Monitor, based on the mu TCA standard. This system is slated to replace the current readout systems of both detectors for the next LHC run.
