Spanish contractor SENER has been carrying out R&D for the 1TER project under the auspices of the Spanish Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI). FUSKITE® consists of a technological demonstrator for the extraction of tritium, an essential material in nuclear fusion, but one that is scarce and expensive to obtain. The most innovative aspect of this project is its permeator, the component responsible for tritium recovery.
