Veolia win EA EP for LLW HTI treatment

Veolia Environmental Services has been granted an Environmental Permit by the Environment Agency to treat Low Level Radioactive Waste (LLW) at the company's Ellesmere Port High Temperature Incinerator (HTI).The new permit allows the treatment of materials that are physically and chemically the same as other wastes currently treated at the facility; however, these are lightly contaminated with radioactive materials from establishments such as hospitals and industry.
