摘要

A brief review of the isofrequency method for deriving the laws of refraction and reflection of waves and the results obtained are presented. The simplicity and clarity of the method makes it possible to pre- dict phenomena escaping attention in alternative methods. In particular, a surprising phenomenon, the existence of a media exhibiting an absence of the reflected and refracted waves in the presence of the incident wave, was discovered using this method.
