摘要

Scattering of a plane E-polarized wave by a circular perfectly conducting cylinder with transverse ring slots is considered. The slots provide for coupling between the exterior space and cylindrical or ring cavities that are enclosed in the cylinder and form a periodic system. It is shown that arbitrary attenuation of the scattered field can be ensured by choosing certain values of cavity parameters.
