Measuring the Electric Parameters of Chernozem with Various Moisture Contents in the Frequency Range 250-3500 MHz

The complex permittivity of chernozem samples with various weight moisture contents are measured in the frequency range 250-3500 MHz by the transmission-line method with the use of a ZVCE Rohde & Schwarz vector network analyzer. The complex reflection coefficient of the measuring cell partially or fully filled with chernozem is measured as functions of frequency. The electric parameters of chernozem with various moisture contents are calculated at room temperature.
