A galvannealed steel coated with a Ni-base inorganic lubricant film(PZA-N)was recently de- veloped to meet the needs of the automative industry for a low cost sheet with improved press form- ability. PZA-N provides not only enhanced formbility properties, but also good performance for automotive body panels, such as in spot weldability, phosphatability, paintability and corrosion resis- tance. In this paper, the beneficial effects of a Ni-base inorganic film on the lubricity of galvannealed steel sheet are also discussed.
