摘要

This paper draws on a study of the recent developments in higher education policy in the UK and elsewhere in order to analyse the likely effects of the current drift towards massification on subject areas such as Creative Writing, which demand small class sizes. The paper explores the likely tensions and suggests a model that protects small group teaching environments through careful examination of what it is we actually teach and how.
