Matsushita Shokai Co., Ltd. has developed an energy conservation type planar light-emitting gaze inducing system View Light that uses an ultrahigh-den-sity light emitting diode (LED) as its light source. The system is (W)116 × (D)450 × (H)58mm and will be installed at places such as wall faces to enable vehicle road widths to be seen clearly, and enabling vehicles to run smoothly and to eliminate traffic congestion. The light is pointed in the necessary direction due to the application of a special type of optical guidance plate machining technology, and drivers can confirm the light from 400m away due to the excellent brightness and color tone which are easy for drivers to recognize. The LED is an energy conservation type featuring brilliant brightness and long service life, and the light is pointed in an optimum direction for ease of recognition. The system is workable even with a low voltage, and has been fully confirmed to flicker accurately and with stability due to the actuation of an internal control circuit.
