TI unveils mmWave sensor portfolio

Texas Instruments has unveiled what it claims is the world's most precise single-chip millimetre wave sensor portfolio for automotive radar, industrial and infrastructure applications. Through two families - the AWR1x and IWR1x - TI is offering five 76 to 81GHz sensors, together with a complete end-to-end development platform. "This is a scalable portfolio and has been designed for ease of use, making it simple to build new applications," said Greg Delagi, senior vice president, Embedded Processing.
