Shannon's entropy has been used in the analysis of a biologically plausible computational model of areas of the auditory system, developed with the neurosimulator GENESIS to study the activity of synaptic receptors during simulations of classical conditioning. The results obtained showed alterations in the entropy of synaptic receptors during the presentation and after the removal of the unconditioned stimulus which was paired with a specific frequency chosen to be the conditioned stimulus.
