Analyzing Holistic Parsers: Implications for Robust Parsing and Systematicity

Holistic parsers offer a viable alternative to traditional algorithmic par- sers. They have good generalization performance and are robust inher- ently. In a holistic parser, parsing is achieved by mapping the connec- tionist representation of the input sentence to the connectionist repre- sentation of the target parse tree directly.
