Corporate e-mail is exactly that: corporate. Even if it is personal mail prepared by or for someone in an office, that message was written on company equipment and sent using company resources, ergo it belongs to the company, not the sender or recipient. If the message was written off-network (like on the Internet) it still does not matter. How to set up a corporate e-mail policy is discussed.
