Crimeware defense strategies: How to protect your network

Internationally acclaimed security scientists and authors Markus Jakobsson and Zulfikar Ramzan recently were guests for a live Network World chat. The two, coauthors of the book Crimeware: Understanding New Attacks and Defenses (published April 6), discussed defenses against financially motivated attacks known as crimeware. They suggested ways to protect networks (and users) against e-mail-by pharming, phishing attacks, identity theft, wireless-network vulnerabilities and more.
