The future of computer and network forensics

In a recent international conference held in the US, a group of researchers and technicians provided an overview of future research directions. The Digital Forensic Research workshop, DFRWS, was initiated in August 2001 to bring Together the academic and investigative communities around three common Objectives: determine the needs of the investigators, develop a research and devel- Opment roadmap to tailor solutions to demand, and, naturally, to assess future Trends and issues.
