Document Management Made Simple

For document collaboration, we liked Xythos Software's WebFile Server when we reviewed it back in 2002 (see www. nwc.com/1308/1308sp3.html), especially its Web-based file store and support for WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning). The vendor has since bundled the functionality of WFS into its Enterprise Document Management Suite with Document Manager 5.0 to provide document check-in/-out, version control and audit logs, as well as workflow management, document classification and retention schedules.
