Making connections has never been easier than it is today, has it? Thanks to the likes of Facebook (the subject of this month's cover article), Twitter, Linkedln and other services, there's no excuse for your social circle not matching the population of a small town! But are they real connections? Some people say not, believing the relationships we forge online have little value, and that social networks are merely collections of avatars to whom we feed banal snippets of our personal and private lives in exchange for a fleeting connection across the void of cyberspace.
