Frameworks are everywhere and power most of today's web. Few developers take time to learn one, but they can save you some serious time and effort - so if you persevere, your projects, clients and team will reap the rewards. I began using frameworks in 2002 and have since founded a successful mobile and web development company based on them. I've also developed without them, built my own frameworks and adopted open source frameworks including CakePHR Rails, jQuery, Haml and Sass.
