Adobe targets web with Generator plug-in

Adobe has hit back at claims that Photoshop is unsuitable for a modern web workflow with the open-source Generator for Photoshop CC, a technology that enables designers to extract assets in real time. When activated, the tool exports images based on layer names. Said assets are immediately updated upon layer name changes, and it's possible to define the export format, variations on formats (png24/png8/ jpg50%, and so on), and numbers for scaling. Multiple images can be exported from the same layer, by using a comma-separated list.
